Creating Safe Spaces for Autistic People

We wanted to write this booklet in order to outline some of the key principles, values and approaches that can cultivate a safe space for Autistic people.
This guide is to help support organisations and groups with developing their spaces across a range of settings and activities such as community events, play groups, lunch clubs and online groups. It is also relevant for schools, universities, healthcare services and therapists who are looking to make a safe space for Autistics.

Gabby’s Glimmers

Gabby’s Glimmers is a children’s book about a young Autistic child (and their pet rat, Meeple), their relationship with their same foods, and the joy and glimmers this provides them in their life. This includes personalised pages for people to express their own glimmers and same foods.
