Feedback from My Training

My training is aligned with the neurodiversity paradigm, which recognises Autistic and other Neurodivergent experiences as a natural way of being. I offer bespoke autism (and neurodivergence) training to schools, workplaces, healthcare professionals and other organisations. These sessions often range from 1 to 3 hours.
For schools, I am available for in-service day training. Alternatively, schools can request 90 minute sessions for their monthly staff CPD meetings. Additionally, I am open to presenting at conferences or other specific events.
I also deliver courses with AUsome Training, including Cothú, a Train the Trainer course for anyone who supports parents of Autistic children. You can find dates for my next delivery of this course here. Additionally, I am one of the creators of Here Together, a Train the Trainer course for schools. Dates for future delivery are here.
There are a variety of topics I deliver sessions on, some of which are listed in the image below.
- Autistics & Anxiety
- Sensory Needs
- Autistic Burnout
- Energy Levels
- Building Transitions
- PDA
- Supporting Distress
- Communication
- Creating Safe Spaces
One of the main sessions I deliver is titled ‘Understanding Autistic Experience’ which functions as an introductory session that runs for 2.5 – 3 hours. Additionally, I offer a shorter information session that covers Autistic experiences (communication, masking, sensory needs).
My sessions can be delivered online or in-person (if the travel distance is reasonable).
I also deliver sessions in collaboration with other professionals (such as Laura Hellfeld & Hayley Moroke) on topics around Same Food and PDA.
Some aspects of my training feature:
- Referencing current research, including Autistic-led research and theories
- Being informed by the ways that trauma can express for Autistic and otherwise Neurodivergent people
- Offering practical support strategies, such as adapting environments, creating safety and reducing anxiety
- Sharing insight into Autistic and Neurodivergent experiences, featuring my own personal insight, as well as that of the wider community
- To promote multiply marginalised communities, such as Black and ethnic minority groups, those who are part of the LGBTQ+ community and non-speakers
I am open to requests for training and you can leave a message on my contact page if you are interested in this.
Note: I am not a mental health or healthcare professional and cannot offer therapy or advice on medication.
